What Are The Costs?
There are many options available in our local area and the following prices reflect just some of them. The cost given per month within this geographic area (travel zones 3-6) will look something like this:

Type of Accommodation Rental Cost [Lowest] Rental Cost [Highest] Duration
Studio £550 £850 Monthly
1 Bed £700 £1000 Monthly
2 Bed £900 £1200

Monthly

3 Bed £1100

£1600

Monthly

Deposits
Whichever accommodation type is suitable for you, you will always have to pay a deposit in advance. This is usually a one or two month’s rent money which will be used towards your accommodation costs or will be held as a security fund until you leave. This type of deposit is refunded on your departure if the place you have been living in is returned to its owner in an original state.

Estate Agents and Accommodation Agency Information
The following is a list of Accommodation Agencies. We can accept no responsibility for the accuracy of the information contained. If you are using a Letting Agent you should enquire as to whether the Agent is accredited to the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS). The Scheme sets out defined minimum standards for residential lettings and management that an estate agent who is a member of NALS must provide, thus providing tenants with a professional and regulated service. Furthermore we would appreciate any feedback that students can provide regarding any of these agencies or any others they may have had dealings with.
